Merry Christmas Y'all!

It is definitely Christmas time at WCD! I've been working hard all week, getting everything ready for this weekend's CHKD Holiday Bazaar! Everyone in the Hampton Roads area can catch a sneek preview on WVEC News 13 today at noon. WCD will be among the featured vendors on today's show!


And you just can't miss the newest addition to our line of Hand Painted Signs. The wonderfully talented Susie of My Flip Flops has done it again! Susie and I worked on some fun Christmas signs for the store, and I even asked Susie to make a special Preppy Pink and Green version, in true WCD style. You've got to go see how cute it turned out!

A Brand New Bag!

The new fall season is the perfect reason for a brand new bag! I decided not to borrow a monogram for this one and to just use this adorable quilted handbag myself.


"My" new brown quilted handbag features aqua accents and thread with an aqua monogram to match! The interior is just as adorable, lined in brown gingham fabric and best of all it's nice and roomy!

Damask Print Market Totes are Back!

I'm busy getting ready for tomorrow's Fall Fair, but I just had to take a minute and share the good news. So many of you have emailed, wondering when the Damask Print Market Totes would be restocked. Well, I am happy to tell you that they are back!!!

Think you just can't live without one? All I can say is, get them while you can! There's just something about that damask print that everyone loves and these totes sold out so fast last time they were in the store.

Y'all know how I love to get the new month off to a good start, so I've updated the store with two new free desktop wallpapers for October!



And I have an extra special treat that's sure to make the new month even sweeter! This Peanut Butter Pie recipe came from a good friend of mine, and I'll tell you right now, it's one of the best things I've ever tasted! This past weekend I was able to make one myself, and if I can make it, then it has to be easy! So here you go:

To Make Your Own Pie Crust
Mix:

• 1 and 1/2 cups of finely crushed Oreo cookie crumbs (20 cookies)
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup melted margarine

Press into 9" pie plate and bake at 375 for 10 min.
Let cool
(Or you could just skip all that and buy the pre-made Oreo pie crust.)

Pie Filling
Beat:

• 8oz of cream cheese
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tbsp margarine
• 1 tsp vanilla

Fold in 1 cup heavy cream whipped
Spoon onto crust and garnish with cookie crumbs
Refrigerate for several hours

You're Invited! WCD Fall Fair

If you're in the Hamptons Road area, WCD would love to see you next weekend at our first show of the season. The Nansemond River Pilot Club's 2009 Fall Fair will be a fun way to celebrate the start of fall and do a little shopping with vendors from around the area. You can also show your support for local charities by purchasing beautiful fall pansies, delicious barbeque or Brunswick stew to take home and enjoy!
